I don t have any coielings but i have already tried replacing them and the two roofs either side above the bay windows don t go through either even though those rooms don t have a ceiling.
Sims 3 why is my roof on the wrong floor.
Placing a collumn under it using constrainfloorelev.
As you can see over the open reception area the roof is coming through.
See the menu in the bottom left.
I have tried everthing i can think of.

Note i am using the appropriate cheats.
It is not the same issue you mentioned about the roof poking through a wall it s new for me at least issue.
Floors that slope 2 or 3 inches in 20 feet would be a very serious concern.
When i turn off the auto roof it doesn t allow me to build a roof on my own.
It says you can choose auto roof but when i do that i only get the very front of the roof or the very back of the roof and not the rest.
Using the select tool click on the roof of the house in an area that was already there and you should get a room box appear on top.
Basically when you go up one floor and try to build a room wall roof anything really the cursor wants to build on the first floor instead of where you actually want to build.

Only pull the walls out over the existing roof don t pull it over empty air we have to add smaller pieces differently.
